The Perfect Man
Hilary Duff (The Lizzie McGuire Movie), the teen pop star plays the daughter of Heather Locklear (Spin City), and she's had it up to here with constantly having to change schools and friends because of her mom's bad luck with guys. So, under the guise of a school project, she picks up some romantic ideas from restaurateur Chris Noth (Sex and The City), and cooks up a secret admirer for her mom. Of course, all of her flowers, love letters and phone calls lead to close calls, "hilarity" and the inevitable come-clean scene in the end. The only things more preposterous than all of that is the awful New York accent used by Caroline Rhea (Christmas with the Kranks), and the gigantic Brooklyn apartment that Hilary and Heather couldn't possibly afford on Mom's baker's salary! Locklear may find love in the end, but this movie will have a hard time finding an audience: Is it for 'tweens or romantic comedy fans? Probably none of the above.
