Old Dogs
Cover ImageSeven years after a one-night marriage, Dan (Robin Williams) learns that he has 7-year-old twins. Significantly increasing the chances for wacky hilarity, Dan elects to watch the kids with help from his lifelong best friend and business partner Charlie (John Travolta), while Dan's ex (Kelly Preston, the real Mrs. Travolta) serves a two-week jail sentence for trespassing. She deems that this as good a time as any for Dad to spend quality time with the twins - Zach (Conner Rayburn) and Emily (Ella Bleu Travolta, John's daughter).

Then an unfortunate accident sidelines Vicki's best friend (Rita Wilson), necessitating that Dan step in as the fortnight's full-time babysitter. Charlie becomes this awkward new family's reluctant host when Dan gets bounced from his no-children-allowed condo.

Though neither Robin Williams or John Travolta  contributes memorable work here, their different comedic styles are complementary and they seem to be having a good time despite the film's routine and sloppy aspects. Directed by Walt Becker ("Wild Hogs"), this silly comedy is really quite unfunny, uninspired, and nearly unwatchable.
