Rating: G General Audiences.

Additional Info:
DVD After being discouraged by his father from pursuing a career in sports after a short stint in the minor leagues, Jim Morris (Quaid) becomes a high school chemistry teacher and coach of their baseball team. As he encourages his players, they in turn encourage him to make a second run at the major leagues. Predictable results follow, but it's the way it's both acted and directed that make this film worth seeing. Director John Lee Hancock perfectly captures the grandeur of the small town Texas locale and has elicited some of the best work Dennis Quaid has ever had the chance to do. It's the role of a lifetime and he aquits himself handsomely. His wife is played by Rachel Griffiths (of HBO's "Six Feet Under") and his son by Angus T. Jones. This is sentimental but intelligent storytelling and filmmaking and it's bound to please all audiences
