Tanglewood will give your camp group an opportunity to hear some well-known classical artists and performances by the Boston Symphony Orchestra, as well as other types of music, including jazz and modern. Your group can enjoy listening to the diversity of music outdoors and under the stars. You can also arrange for a 1.5-hour guided tour of the Tanglewood campus, with a visit to the Koussevitzky Music Shed, Ozawa Hall, the Visitor Center history rooms, and more. Your guide will explain the historical background of Tanglewood and the BSO. In July, your campers can “listen up close” in the Tent Club and develop their music appreciation skills. Or they can attend Friday morning rehearsal experiences, which will give them insight into what it is like preparing for a performance.
