In this sci-fi comedy, Eddie Murphy once again plays a double-role. First as a huge man-shaped spaceship that crashes into Earth in search of a device that might save the planet. Inside Starship Murphy there's a whole crew of mini-invaders led by their captain (Eddie Murphy) and several officers, including one portrayed by the lovely Gabrielle Union. The visitors become fascinated by the humans, their generosity, good-heartedness, courage and most of all their funky soul music.
When a suitcase full of money falls out of the sky at the feet of an eight year old boy, he and his older brother set out on the adventure of a lifetime that leads them to realize that true wealth has nothing to do with money. This wonderfully heartwarming film was made by British film director Danny Boyle (Trainspotting).

This live-action, feature-length adaptation of the classic Hanna-Barbera cartoon TV series can occasionally be fun, bur it's hard to care much about any of the characters. It stars those teen icons - Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Geller and has a nice performance by Matthew Lillard as Shaggy!
Son of the Mask
Cartoonist Tim Avery (Jamie Kennedy) has a new son who's born with the Mask's spectacular powers - to the dismay of the family's jealous dog. This turns the household upside down. Worse yet, the Mask's also being sought by the relentless Loki (Alan Cumming), the mischievous son of Norse god Odin (Bob Hoskins).
Stuart Little 2
A delightful sequel to the 1999 blockbuster about the adorable, furry, computer-animated mouse. Geena Davis, Hugh Laurie, and Jonathan Lipnicki are all back as the real people; as is Michael J Fox as the voice of Stuart. It's all an enjoyable romp that will please the kids and charm most adults.
The Haunted Mansion
Eddie Murphy plays a real estate agent whose latest project is to find a buyer for a huge but dilapidated old house in New Orleans. However, when he visits the property with his family, he discovers it's already inhabited by 999 ghosts, none of whom are interested in sharing the space.
One of the world's greatest superheroes (the animated Mr. Incredible) was known for saving lives and fighting evil, but he's been forced to become an everyday working guy until he gets a mysterious message summoning him back into action on a top-secret assignment. His whole family is soon involved.

An entertaining and effective expansion of the Disney television series that adolescent girls will love. Hilary Duff is the adorable young American girl who goes to Italy and falls in love.
The Master of Disguise
The very talented mimic Dana Carney wastes his many talents in this painfully terrible movie that only a six year old or under might enjoy. Maybe it could have been a really funny Saturday Night Live sketch that runs 12 minutes, but a watchable feature-length movie it is not.
On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter (voiced by Peter Linz), the world's biggest Muppet fan, and his friends Gary (Jason Segel) and Mary (Amy Adams) from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets' former stomping grounds. Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets to stage the Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10 million needed to save their theater.
This is a Disney family film, if there ever was one. Vin Diesel stars as Navy SEAL who, as a member of the world's fiercest and most highly trained force thought he was prepared to take on any duty no matter how perilous or impossible ... until he tries baby-sitting.

Julie Andrews shines as the queen and Anne Hathaway sparkles as the princess-in-waiting and this pleasant romantic fantasy may amuse pre-teenage girls, but probably not too many others.
